The K2 Base Camp Trek is a challenging 20-day adventure that takes you through some of the most remote and spectacular mountain scenery in the world. This trek is designed for experienced trekkers with good fitness levels and acclimatization experience. The journey covers approximately 160 kilometers, primarily on the Baltoro Glacier, one of the longest non-polar glaciers in the world.
You will trek through pristine valleys, cross high mountain passes, and camp in remote locations where few people venture. The highlight is reaching Concordia, the "Throne Room of the Mountain Gods," where you can see K2 (8,616m), Broad Peak (8,048m), and numerous other 7,000m+ peaks in a single panoramic view.
Day 1-2: Arrive in Islamabad, rest and acclimatization
Day 3: Fly to Skardu (2,228m), explore the city
Day 4: Drive to Askole (3,015m), last village on the route
Day 5: Trek to Jhola (3,200m) via Biafo Glacier snout
Day 6-7: Trek to Paiju (3,720m), acclimatization
Day 8-9: Trek to Khoburtse (4,130m) and Urdukas (4,050m)
Day 10-11: Trek to Goro II (4,595m), rest day for acclimatization
Day 12: Trek to Concordia (4,595m) - "Throne Room of the Mountain Gods"
Day 13: Trek to K2 Base Camp (5,150m), summit day view
Day 14-15: Rest and exploration at base camp

We recommend 3-4 months of physical preparation including regular cardio exercises, strength training (especially legs and core), hiking with a loaded backpack, and altitude acclimatization if possible. Previous trekking experience at high altitudes is beneficial.
