About K2BC

Your trusted Karakoram trekking agency since 2003.

Our Story

K2BC was founded in 2003 by a team of passionate mountaineers and local guides from the Gilgit-Baltistan region. After years of climbing and guiding in the Karakoram Range, our founders recognized the need for a trekking agency that combined deep local knowledge with international safety standards and sustainable practices. What began as a small operation with just three guides has grown into Pakistan's premier Karakoram trekking specialist.

From our humble beginnings as local village guides, we've expanded to offer comprehensive expeditions throughout the Karakoram Range. Our growth has been organic, built on word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied trekkers who experienced our commitment to safety, comfort, and authentic cultural experiences. Today, we employ over 50 local staff and guides, and welcome hundreds of international trekkers each season to experience the majesty of K2, Concordia, and the breathtaking Karakoram landscapes.

Throughout our journey, we've remained true to our core values: safety as our highest priority, sustainability in all operations, and empowerment of local communities. We believe that responsible tourism can be a powerful force for positive change in the remote mountain regions of Pakistan, providing economic opportunities while preserving the natural environment and cultural heritage that make the Karakoram so special.
